The remodeling is well underway and we are excited about retooling our old administration space for the Next Generation.  We've torn down the walls and repainted the breakout rooms, and have more to do in the next few weeks.  This new area will be called The Eddy.  What is an eddy you ask?  Watch this video...

Walls Coming Down

Over the past 2 weeks, a team of volunteers and staff have assisted with the demolition for the remodeling project at WRCC.  The walls have been removed and framing and electrical rough-in is beginning soon.

Breaking Ground ~ To the Glory of God

A Ground Breaking Ceremony was held in Nairobi today for the new school building in Community #2 of the Mathare Valley.  Pastor Dan Crosely, Pastor Phil Heller, and Elder Tom Roberts were present for the ceremony.  The initial project will be to construct a 3 classroom facility which should be completed within 3 months.  The final completion of the facility will be a 4 story complex providing classroom space for nearly 1,000 students.  We celebrate this occasion in worship and praise to God, declaring this school to the glory of God and the benefit of His children.

The Staff Has Left the Office!

The Noblesville portion of this project is to create more programming space for the NextGen Ministry at WRCC.  Over 800 attend our ministries from birth through age 18 each weekend.  To provide for more programming space, the administration office is being vacated and rearranged to the northwest corner of the facility.  To begin the process of remodeling, the staff has been reshuffled into makeshift offices so the current office area can be remodeled.

We took the opportunity through technology to announe the 2010 Christmas Offering total to Wallace and Mary Kamau of Missions of Hope in Nairobi.  You've got to see her reaction [click here to see video]

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

This weekend at Vision Weekend, we revealed the total for the 2010 Christmas Offering:

$81,276.33 will be sent to Missions of Hope for the children of Nairobi to build a school!

$81,276.33 will be used by WRCC in Noblesville to create space for NextGen programming

$162,552.66 is the grand total of the 2010 Christmas Offering!!!!!

Make plans to be present at the Vision Weekend this coming Thursday or Sunday (come both times if you'd like!) to celebrate what God has done, is doing, and will continue to do!  The vision God has given us for the future of WRCC will be shared.  And, we'll announce the grand total of this year's Christmas Offering (you can't hold back the excitement, we know).
